Maximum approach while professional distance

Between parents and their children or within the intimacy of a partner relationship, touching each other is mostly a normal part of everyday life. At the same time, in a therapeutical relationship, it is not common. Therefore, for the sake of clarity in the relationship with their clients, healthcare haptotherapists are trained in therapeutic touching. Therapeutic touching in haptotherapy means that the client is respectfully touched, respecting maximum approach while professional distance is maintained.
